Isfahan University of Technology and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Prof. Lino Guzzella president of ETH University during his visit from Isfahan University of Technology, had a formal meeting with president of Isfahan University of Technology Dr. Mahmoud Modarres Hashemi and other IUT officials.
‘‘Development of international cooperation with prestigious universities such as ETH that is one of the top universities in the international rankings, is one of the main policies of Isfahan University of Technology. Developing tight relationship with this university can make good research opportunities for our students and faculty members.’’ Said Dr. Modarres Hashemi.

At the end of this meeting, a memorandum of undrestanding has been signed between two universities.
ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, German: Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich) is an engineering, science, technology, mathematics and management university in the city of Zürich, Switzerland.
ETH Zurich is consistently ranked among the top universities in the world. It is currently ranked as 5th best university in the world in engineering, science and technology, just behind the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Cambridge University and National University of Singapore in the QS World University Rankings.
Twenty-one Nobel Prizes have been awarded to students or professors of the Institute in the past, the most famous of whom was Albert Einstein with the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics.
